SARA in the News SARA-N1
On the 23 July 2006 at 08.00am in - 2
degrees freezing weather, SARA flew the SARA-N1 rocket after two years of designing
and testing. The SARA N1 is a N2O/ Polyprop fueled rocket with a
length of 3.8 meters. The rocket reached an altitude of 4520m AGL
before turning back to earth. SARA would like to thank our sponsors
and team for the great success in this project. Plans are underway
for a larger rocket to reach the 10km barrier.

High winds force postponement of Karoo rocket launch
It happens to the biggest and best space agencies of the world -bad
weather. If even a giant like the US National Aeronautics and Space
Administration, with its huge rockets, has, on occasion, to bow
before the weather and put a launch on hold, how much more
vulnerable is a team of amateurs seeking to launch a small rocket in
